Hi, I'm here because of our mutual friend The Grey Lady. Congratulations on going non-microsoft! Linux is not as easy as they say; but it sure as hell beats "Windoze Genuine Advantage". I would love to help you reduce the size of your AVIs so that you can blog them. Would you be able to email me a small one, so that I can play with it and find good parameters? My email address is andythechicken (at) gmail (dot) com.

No, no! The correct response is "Linux is so easy, a caveman can do it!" Work with me here!

The email has been sent, with as small an .avi file as I can create in the camera. Any further progress will be reported in the fullness of time. Thanks, all!
