Well, the song does include the caveat, "If we do not destroy ourselves..."
Everything is extremely unlikely, until it occurs, then it is hard to imagine any other reality.
There is talent out there. If we survive as a species long enough, all things are possible. Don't give up on us, yet!
I always liked Carl Sagan.
I admire his consistency. He kept his head in the clouds and rarely came back down to earth.
I dont really recall him spouting politics or ideology....aside from: the universe is so big....why destroy ourselves fighting over tiny issues that are so inconsequential in the grand scheme of things.
I can respect that.
