It's 11 in the morning, and the thermometer says fifteen degrees. That's really the only thing worth saying today. If I can get the Jeep running, I'm stealing it and moving to El Paso.
Don't try to talk me out of it.

You may wind up going alone, or just with LB... remembering the dog trauma of your last trip...
But I'm not understanding why it is so cold there. I'm a few miles from the Montana border with Wyoming, and it is currently 29 degrees, and snowing.
Low of 17 expected tonight, with a high tomorrow of 40 when the sun comes out.
Must be all that global warming.
Yes the weather patterns are a wee bit odd here in good ol Canerdaer when Joel was lamenting his below zero and frozen pipes in the desert it was a whopping +6. That would be about 44 degrees in americanese All my snow melted and the days were spent battling the mud the kids kept dragging in on their snow-suits/boots.
Thanking for taking the subzero hit Joel so I could have a few warm days of sunshine. I appreciate it :O)
El Paso ? [an active war-like zone]
Way too many government types that truly don't understand the word or concept Liberty.
May I suggest Terlingua or maybe Alpine or Fort Davis ?

The last two for the greenery.
If you like High Desert with very scattered trees and such ?
[Juniper, Huisache, Mesquite et cetera]
Up in the Davis Mountains they even have actual Pine trees.
And some very beautiful valleys. [small but wet and gorgeous with greenery etc.]
Just sayin'
gooch
