Uh...right?
More than 10 percent of the TSA’s identification badges have errors that could compromise airport security, a new audit has found.Oh, just shut the whole thing down and let the McDonald's employment glut get a little worse.
Omissions and inaccuracies ranging from birthdates and birthplaces to incorrect assessments of security threats abound in identification badges assigned to the approximately 900,000 people who have unescorted access to secure areas of airports, according to a report from the Department of Homeland Security inspector general.
“The safety of airport workers, passengers, and aircraft is at risk due to the vulnerabilities in the airport operator badging process,” the report said.

I don't suppose it is important for me to know (obviously must not be to them either) but I'd like to understand just what the hell purpose a birthdate and birth place on an employee badge serves.
I mean... SO WHAT? Somebody please give me one good reason (ok... ANY reason) why I should care.
Don't they pretty much figure that out before someone is hired... if there is any reason they need to know to start with?
