I probably spend more time with the chain saws than the guns, and I suspect that when the SHTF, I'll find the saws more useful.
Thought you had a Stihl, Joel... Nice bar cover though.
That's a funny looking nozzle on the fuel container. I had to replace my container a couple years ago and noticed a slightly less obtrusive modification to the new dispenser. A quick check verified that the threads on my old plain nozzle fit the newer container - so I switched 'em and tossed the newfangled nozzle along with the split old container. (I'm sure - just like when I tore the tags off my futon - that I broke a handful of federal regulations with that move - in addition to totally fubarring my opsec in this public admission. C'est la guerre...)
My favorite fuel container is about 60yo - came with an old car a relative gave me. It still gets double takes from people when I use it - but it's leak-free and built for the long haul!
Went and looked at the woodpile a few days ago - what a mess. I figure I'll let it cool off a bit before poking around in there - the rattlers might be more sluggish. Hard to hear their warning with the saw running!
Thanks Uncle Joel.
mumble...grumble...mumble
I guess it is time to do a little tune up on my saw.
I have two chains that need to be "professionally sharpened" and I need the plug, filter and fuel line replaced.
Now I need to find the $30 dollars to do all of this.
And the weather is still in triple digits.
BUT I will have a nice running "sharp" saw when the cold does come. ;^# {big grin}
especially around chainsaws ...
stay safe,
gooch
