Hey, I have a question for some of you...

Y'know how sometimes you just miss things that have actually been in the news for an embarrassing time. So could anybody tell me: When did the "White House Briefing Room" become the "James Brady Briefing Room?" Has it been like that since the Reagan shooting, and I just never noticed?

Minor point, I concede. But I was just wondering how long it's been like that. Because it's suddenly irritating.

Been that way since 2000. However, I would never have noticed.

SCENE: Secret Service agents "escorting" press secretary in an arm lock
AGT1: Come on, Mr Carney. Time to go to work.
CARNEY: No! I won't! I don' wanna 'Brady Briefing'!
AGT2: Relax, sir. What's the worst that could happen?
CARNEY: Noooo!
AGT1: Maybe renaming the briefing room should have been thought out more carefully.

I never noticed either. I have way too much irritation already with the things I do notice.

I just saw it a few days ago when the prescreened carefully scripted and rehearsed yet utterly spontaneous, genuine and sincere question was asked of the guy who happened to be standing in front of the James (I'm only handicapped and drooling when we are talking about taking your rights away) Brady bronze plaque.
