Well, now that the end is in sight, since W will be back sometime next week, the "two packs" thing seems to finally be resolving itself. For two walkies now, yesterday afternoon and this morning, I've had five dogs rather than the usual three or four. All this morning while I worked at CdP the dogs hung out together like they've lived together forever. Bruno and Ghost seem to have permanently buried the hatchet; in fact as I type this Bruno is cheerfully crunching kibble in my lair and Ghost has offered no objection. I took the Jeep to the wash to get sand for the driveway and had four dogs inside, and then - shock! - when I dumped the trailer and got ready to go buy eggs from the neighbor lady, Redgirl demanded in! So they all got a nice Jeep ride through the wash. Nobody's run off, though the day is still young. Looks like they've decided they all live here.
Neighbor lady wasn't home, which was a bit of a bother because I'm low on eggs and Landlady is due tonight. But that's all right; I've got enough for breakfast and we'll deal with it tomorrow. The kids've been really good lately, and deserved a nice Jeep ride.
Fresh bread is cooling on the counter. Now I've got just two more chores to do, then we'll go walky and I'll clean up and finish my LotR marathon, that's been going on most of the week. Gondor has been saved, the big creepy spider has been vanquished, now all we have is Samwise and that whiner Frodo drearily crossing Mordor and the fall of Sauron. And - since this is the extended version - about six different drawn-out endings. I may give those a miss; the bonus DVDs are substantially more interesting.
