And on the subject of batteries...

Check out the big charge on M's tractor battery!

A couple of weeks ago I received a gift from a generous blog reader, which (the gift, not the reader) advertises itself as able to restore sulfated batteries.  In the intervening time it's been attached to one of my big household gel cells, so far without indicating much in the way of success.  But Monday I attached it to the old lead-acid 12-volt on M's tractor to see what it could do with that.

And if the LED's on the Battery Minder mean anything, we've brought that old battery back from a lamentable condition!  Thanks, generous blog reader!

Well...

It _does_ say "For Lead-Acid batteries only"...

But I have no idea how your "gel-cell" batteries work.

Yeah, gel cells are lead-acid. They just don't use liquid electrolyte. In fact the gadget has a setting specifically for gel batteries.

But these are big - way bigger than auto batteries. It may take another week or so soaking up power before this one shows improvement. If it does.
