AWWWW is right.
It is really good that Studley Whitefoot [my suggestion] gets to be raised with & by horses and not just humans.
You sure are lucky with some of your "neigh" ... bors Joel.
I am jealous. [sometimes]
Is there some way I can help with the extra milk needed ?
And ... No I am not a lactating female. [Horse or human]
CSW or Elias can put you in touch with me IF you don't still have my address from the shipment of "sox".
[most of which were too big as I remember(?)]
Stay Safe,
gooch
Tell them to be careful not to overfeed him. I have a friend who was in a similar circumstance who did supplemental feedings but with a horsey "nursemaid". No idea how much milk said nursemaid was supplying, but apparently too much - the foal grew too rapidly and ended up with some major knee/leg problems that are peculiar to overfeeding. Surgery took care of it, but not cheaply.
Better for the foal if he's kept just a bit on the ribby side of condition. He can always catch up later. No doubt their vet will advise them...
He's a cutie...but then, they all are. I'm convinced God made babies (all kinds of babies) so cute because if they weren't, we'd ditch them all because they're so much trouble. So He _had_ to make them irresistible...
