In other news, Charles Manson tapped for lead in Ghandi remake...

Seen pretty much everywhere I looked...

Jane Fonda to play Nancy Reagan in 'Butler'

As far as I can tell, it's a movie about a White House butler. Seriously. Can't wait to see who they'll cast as Ronnie - Al Sharpton, maybe...

This is the sort of movie I was just born to not go see.

I'm trying to figure a way that wasn't intended as a deliberate slap in conservative faces... and it just ain't comin'. They don't even have the rationale of casting a good actress, unless she finally developed some acting skills when I wasn't looking (and since the article said her last pic was with Loser Lohan, I'm betting against that possibility).

Really makes me glad I don't bother looking at movies. :) I mean, generally speaking. The original release of Braveheart was my last theater movie... So I don't think I'll be making an exception for this one.

Sheesh. The last movie I saw in a theater? I think that was "Starship Troopers" (yeah, yeah, I know; but my friend wanted to see it, and he was dying... it was one of the last movies he went to see).

Added: And my last comment was on topic because ST was pretty much a slap in Heinlein's face.

It's just such a cognitive disconnect to imagine Fonda saying those infamous lines from the Bahbah Wahwah interview...

"Ronnie says, and I must agree...."

Now com'on, doesn't that just put a smile on your face?
*snork*

Oh cool! Maybe we can get Sarah Palin to play Hanoi Jane in a movie. Karma finally took out Teddy Kennedy, what the hell is it waiting for on this bitch...

Regardless of her (many) faults, Fonda apparently does take considerably better care of her health than did Ted "Whaddya mean he was sober? Really?"* Kennedy.

-sigh-

Answering the question: "How can we make a movie about the Reagans that no one will go see?"
