Well, I'll Be Damned...

I read this morning that Johannes Mehserle, the BART cop who shot an unarmed and immobilized man in the back in full view of half the camera phones in Oakland, was actually arrested. In Nevada, where he'd allegedly fled to escape death threats from half the people in Oakland.

This really surprises me; I was interested to see how his department would handle the mother of all whitewashes. Guess he shouldn't have resigned.
